New Hampshire State Police Accuse Maine Teen Of Driving 127 MPH On Interstate 95
Hayley Lawrence of Eliot, Maine, was arrested for reckless driving after being accused of driving up to 127 mph in a BMW on Wednesday.

GREENLAND, NH — A teenager from Maine was arrested on Wednesday after being accused of driving up to 127 mph on Interstate 95.
Around 3 a.m., a New Hampshire State Police trooper on a routine patrol on I-95 north in North Hampton saw a 2015 BMW 5-series speeding. The vehicle was clocked at 118 mph, according to Amber Lagace, a public information officer with New Hampshire State Police.
While continuing to drive north, the trooper said the vehicle began to drive faster and was clocked at 127 mph, she noted. In Greenland, the trooper stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Hayley Lawrence, 18, of Eliot, Maine. She was arrested on a reckless driving charge.

Lawrence was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in Portsmouth Circuit Court on Nov. 21 for arraignment.
“State police remind all motorists to obey posted speed limits and to drive with courtesy and care when on New Hampshire roadways,” Lagace said.
