Police Searching for Stolen Green Mustang, Car Thieves
Police believe two men stole the green Mustang at Hampton Beach.
Hampton police are asking the public for help in locating a vehicle that was stolen in the area of Ashworth Avenue, in addition to help identifying two men suspected of stealing the vehicle.
Lt. Dan Gidley said the vehicle, a green 2000 two-door Ford Mustang with Massachusetts license plates "722VG6," was taken around 2 a.m. on Sept. 1.
The Mustang has lime green leather seats, a child seat in the back and a "P Fritty" sticker on the back window, according to Gidley. He said the car may also have "damage on the rear bumper, passenger side, driver side rear corner, and light damage on the driver side."
Gidley said one of the suspects is a tall, heavy-set white man between 28 and 30 years old, and that he was seen wearing a gray shirt, khaki shorts and a backward hat.
The other suspect is a heavily tattooed white man between 5-feet, 7-inches and 5-feet, 8-inches tall. The man has tattoos "all over" his arms and neck, according to Gidley, and was seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, a black hat with a "P" on it, and black sneakers with yellow tongues.
Police have released images of the suspects and the vehicle, and those images are included above.
