Police Seek Prowling Suspect's Identity

Hampton police have released an image of a man who allegedly trespassed at an Exeter Road home recently while the homeowner was away.

Lt. Dan Gidley said it's unknown why the man was at the property and whether he was there for a "legitimate purpose."

The homeowner inadvertently captured, using a game camera, images of the suspect walking on his back porch and up a rear staircase to an upper deck, according to Gidley. Gidley said the camera was installed in the back yard due to animal problems at the home.

Gidley said the suspect, who had a mustache and was wearing a white T-shirt when his image was captured, was allegedly on the property around 9:40 a.m. on July 30, according to timestamps on the images.

Police ask anyone with information on the identity of the suspect to contact them at (603) 929-4444 or to contact the Crimeline For the Hamptons at (603) 929-1222.
