Sail Into Big Weekend Fun on the Seacoast

From annual crowd-pleasers to big music and food festivals, there's plenty on tap on New Hampshire's Seacoast.

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas (and be sure to tell us about the things you did and show us the pictures you took by posting on Patch or by e-mailing Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com):

1. The annual "Tall Ships" event returns to the Seacoast this weekend, as U.S. Coast Guard training vessel Eagle will sail into Portsmouth for free public tours from Friday, Aug. 2, through Sunday, Aug. 4. The event starts with the annual Tall Ships parade — which this year will also feature the Portsmouth fire boat and the Piscataqua Gundalow — at 4 p.m. Friday.

2. The Seacoast will get a hefty dose of country this weekend thanks to radio station WOKQ, which is hosting its 9th annual Country Festival — featuring ribs cooked by the Meat House — in Portsmouth's Prescott Park on Saturday.

3. If you're someone who enjoys good or unique yard sale finds, you're in luck this weekend thanks to First Congregational Church of Hampton's "Upscale Rummage Sale 2013" on Saturday.

4. The weekend starts a day early this week thanks to a cruise night and car show at Airfield Ice Cream in North Hampton at 5 p.m. Thursday, as well as live music along the Piscataqua River in Portsmouth at 6 p.m. Thursday.

5. There are a variety of live concerts and performances in the area this weekend, including shows at the Hampton Beach Seashell StageHampton Beach Casino Ballroom and Portmouth's Prescott Park.

What else is going on? You tell us! There are plenty of other events, but we want to know what you're going to do. Tell us in the comments!
