The New Hampshire SPCA’S Annual Holiday Open House will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the New Hampshire SPCA in Stratham. This event is free and open to the public.

The Holiday Open House is a festive way to ring in the holiday season with the animals. This year’s event will feature holiday music, crafts, a fabulous gift basket raffle, delicious treats, a Blessing of the Animals, our annual Tree Lighting and of course… Santa!

We will also have a photo booth this year, donated by TapSnap, and NHSPCA gear available with 100 percent of the proceeds going toward care for hundreds of our animals this holiday season.

"Every year, we look forward to hosting this special, family friendly event as an appreciation to our community for their ongoing support," said Kelly Lemos, NHSPCA's special events and sponsorship coordinator. "Nothing is more heartwarming than visiting with our animals this time of year, and knowing they are well cared for during their stay here while they wait for their forever homes."

Our special raffle this year will include beautiful gift baskets created and donated by our wonderful volunteers, and there will be a cookie-swap, bake sale and brand new this year, you can decorate your own wreath!

The kids will love making crafts in our Humane Education classroom while saying hello to the classroom animals, and in the barn, you can visit with the horses and enjoy a cup of cider while the kids make unique bird feeders.
