Sen. Shaheen to Honor First Responders, Hampton's 375th

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will honor Hampton firefighters and police on Monday, August 5th at 1:00 p.m. at the Hampton Fire Department with a Congressional Record statement commending the heroic contributions of Hampton’s first-responders. On the evening of Thursday, July 25th Hampton first responders rescued distressed swimmers who were drowning off Hampton Beach. Shaheen will honor the first-responders for their professionalism, heroism and courage.

Following her visit to the Hampton Fire Department, Shaheen will tout New Hampshire’s tourism industry and its impact on the local economy when she visits the newly renovated Seashell Oceanfront Pavilion at 1:45 p.m. There, Shaheen will be accompanied by Jeff Rose, Commission of Department of Resources and Economic Development, Phil Bryce, Director of Division of Parks and Recreation and Doc Noel, President of the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce.  

Shaheen will also mark Hampton’s 375th anniversary when she joins local officials and the Hampton 375 Commission at Founders Park at 2:20 p.m. Shaheen will make remarks and present a Congressional Record statement honoring the anniversary.
