Several Crashes Hit Seacoast Roads Tuesday Morning

Authorities are asking drivers to use caution because roads may be slick due to cold overnight temperatures and periods of snow other precipitation.

Five accidents were reported in the southern portion of the Seacoast area alone before 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to emergency radio communications.

At least one person was injured in an accident near mile marker 2 in the northbound lane of Interstate 95 in Hampton around 8 a.m.

Another accident with injury was reported in Hampton just before 9 a.m. near the intersection of Landing and Winnacunnet roads.

There were also accidents with undisclosed injuries around 8 a.m. on Interstate 95 north in Greenland near the Breakfast Hill Road overpass, near 101 Lafayette Road (Route 1) in Rye, and at the intersection of routes 150 and 107 in Kensington. 

Local weather forecasts indicate there's a 40 percent chance of snow before noon, while temperatures are expected to peak around 41 degrees.
