The annual American Lung Association ride is Sunday morning.

The annual American Lung Association's Cycle the Seacoast, a 25-, 50- or 100-mile cycling event through the area to raise money for lung disease research and aid, starts Sunday morning.
Many local individuals annually participate in or watch the festivities, which begin in Portsmouth. Among the year's inspiring local stories is that of Deb Smith, a Hampton resident and Seabrook teacher who was 58 when she was diagnosed with lung cancer despite never smoking a cigarette in her life.
Smith's brothers, niece and two of Smith's friends will travel a 25-mile route Sunday while Smith, her sister and several friends will be on hand to greet the team.
