Local Brewers Giving Away Free Beer Today
Grab your IDs and some good spirit if you're interested in a free pint courtesy of a new-to-Hampton company.

Smuttynose Brewing Company's new production facility and brew pub at Hampton's Towle Farm is still months away from opening, although the local brewers won't make you wait until then to have a beer on them.
In a message posted on its Facebook page Thursday, Smuttynose asked its followers to join them for a beer at the Towle Farm location at 4 p.m. Friday.
Smuttynose did the same thing two weeks ago, as part of a small and informal event Smuttynose spokesman JT Thompson said was designed to build a connection between the site and local residents.
Production at the new multi-million-dollar headquarters is still expected to start in November, but the brew pub probably won't open until early 2014, according to Thompson.
