Snow, Weather Could Be Good - or Bad - for Hampton Parade
Hampton's and North Hampton's many holiday events this weekend could either be white, bright, or slick and icy thanks to Mother Nature.

Seacoast residents should expect some chilly and slippery conditions this weekend, although there could be a break in the weather for Saturday's annual Hampton Christmas Parade.
Rain and showers that started Thursday and carried into Friday morning will are expected to continue throughout the day Friday and bring up to a half an inch of rain before the showers end sometime Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
That weather is expected to continue through Hampton's annual tree lighting ceremony Friday.

The showers could also include sleet before 3 a.m. on Saturday, with a chance of snow until 7 a.m.
The precipitation is expected to subside and temperatures are expected to hit 37 degrees right around the start of the annual Hampton Christmas Parade at 1 p.m.

Sunday is currently expected to bring early morning temperatures in the 20s and a high of 32 degrees later in the day, just in time for North Hampton's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
The forecast for Sunday night into early Monday morning will bring a wintry mix including snow, sleet and freezing rain.
