The Hampton Fire Department will soon celebrate with the community the completion of two multimillion-dollar projects.
Ribbon cuttings for both the new Hampton Beach fire station and the newly renovated and expanded Winnacunnet Road fire station will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on the one-year anniversaries of the start of each project's construction, according to Fire Chief Chris Silver.
The ceremony for the beach station will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, while the downtown fire station's ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
The $5.7 million projects give the Hampton Fire Department much-needed additional apparatus, storage and crew space, as well as move dispatch entirely over to Winnacunnet Road.
The old beach station was recently demolished.
