Mother's Day and Other Weekend Fun in Hampton, N. Hampton
A firefighters' charity ride, an art show, a cancer run and much more are on tap in addition to Mother's Day events.

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas (and be sure to tell us about the things you did and show us the pictures you took by e-mailing Editor Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com):
1. Show Your Mom(s) How Much You Care: Mother's Day is Sunday, and many local businesses and entities are holding special events or have special menus or gifts to help you thank all the mother(s) in your life.

- Chez Boucher Cooking School and Savory Square Bistro are hosting a Mother's Day Luncheon Buffet on Sunday.
- The Old Salt's Sunday brunch gets a dose of Mother's Day love as part of many residents' favorite annual event at the downtown eatery.
- The 401 Tavern also has a special Mother's Day menu, in both a brunch and dinner version.
- Seacoast Harley-Davidson has a variety of unique Mother's Day ideas and gifts for the mothers out there who love the open road.
- If your mom or grandmother is more of the crafty type, the fourth annual Mother's Day Weekend Craft Festival returns to Hampton Falls' Town Common on Saturday and Sunday.
2. Ride Through the Seacoast to Help Locals in Need: Area firefighters will shed their uniforms in favor of a different kind of protective gear Saturday as part of a motorcycle charity ride hosted by the local chapter of the Fire and Iron Motorcycle Club to benefit the 100 Club, which helps the families of fallen firefighters.
Hampton Falls Fire Lt. Brian Kent, president of the local chapter of Fire and Iron, said the run is open to the public. Kent said dozens of riders are expected to leave from Locals Restaurant and Pub in North Hampton at 11 a.m. Saturday for the ride, which will go to Poor People's Pub in Sanbornville before returning to Locals at 2 p.m. for food, drinks, live music and a 50-50 raffle.

Kent said the ride is $20 per motorcycle and $15 per passenger, and those donations also cover food and two drink tickets for each individual. Last year's ride featured 40 bikes and raised $600, and Kent said he's looking forward to a larger turnout this year to help out a "worthy cause" that is "near and dear" to his heart.
"We're giving to families that are suffering due to the loss of their husband or wife," said Kent.
3. Enjoy Some Local Art: "Art in Bloom," a three-day exhibition put on by the Hampton Arts Network and Hampton Garden Club, ends Friday.
4. Be Part of a Heartwarming Cause: The second annual New Hampshire Komen Race for the Cure, a 5K cancer run and walk in Portsmouth, begins Saturday morning at Strawbery Banke Museum. More information here.
5. Go Postal to End Hunger: In addition to your outgoing mail, be sure to put out nonperishable food items for your mail carrier to collect on Saturday, as local postal workers will participate in the annual United States Postal Service Food Drive.
Carriers will collect all nonperishable food items left by mailboxes Saturday as part of the initiative, which raised thousands of pounds of food for the hungry last year in Hampton alone.
Also, Eagle Scout candidate Jason Broad of Hampton Boy Scout Troop 176 will host a yard sale Saturday at Hampton United Methodist Church to raise money for the installation of six fitness stations at Marston School.
What else is going on? You tell us! There are plenty of other events, but we want to know what you're going to do. Tell us in the comments!
