Winnacunnet Players Help NH Blank Vermont in Shrine Bowl
Winnacunnet, in addition to a variety of Seacoast high schools, was well-represented in a resounding all-state win.

Two local football players did their part Saturday to help lead an all-New Hampshire team to an impressive 43-0 win over Vermont in the 60th Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl, an annual matchup at Dartmouth between the two states, according to ESPN.
Guard/tackle Jordan Cutting and offensive tackle/defensive guard Christian Dyer represented the Winnacunnet High School community and the Hampton region on the New Hampshire squad. They helped New Hampshire defeat Vermont for the 13th year in a row after a dominating offensive performance that saw New Hampshire gain roughly 300 more total yards than Vermont, according to ESPN.
Cutting and Dyer were also on the WHS squad that won the New Hampshire Division II title over Bedford this past season.
The Shrine Bowl annually features some of the best and brightest graduating high school seniors New Hampshire and Vermont has to offer, and the Shrine Bowl website states that all of the players were nominated by their high school head coaches and "'screening' committees" chaired by the coaches of the two Shrine Bowl teams.
