Derry Town Administrator Turns Himself in to Police

Derry Town Administrator John Anderson turned himself in to police this week on charges of indecent exposure, according to state police.

Anderson, 50, was arrested on two counts of indecent exposure and lewdness. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Aug. 15, and he surrendered himself on Wednesday to be formally charged.

Anderson allegedly exposed himself to a salesman in his home on July 11. He was placed on paid leave the following day after it was learned that he was the subject of a state police investigation.

Anderson was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is currently scheduled to appear in Derry District Court for his arraignment on Oct. 11.
