Firehouse Subs Presents $8,239 To Manchester Fire Dept For Gear

Firehouse Subs provided funds for life-saving equipment for Manchester Fire. The donation will allow for the purchase of two Lokead Winches.

MANCHESTER, NH - The City of Manchester Fire Department was presented $8,239.70 by Firehouse Subs Manchester Franchise owner Daniel Pettit Saturday at a "Touch A Truck" event held at the company' Manchester location.

The funding will be applied toward the purchase of two Lokhead Fire Rescue winch kits, which will be used to ensure greater life-saving capabilities for first responders in the community.

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation continues to be a valuable resource to first responders throughout the country and has provided an $8,239.70 critical grant award to the City of Manchester Fire Department.

“This equipment is so important to the City of Manchester as it will help us perform technical rescues in a safe manner, not only for our members but for the individuals relying on our ability to safely and expeditiously rescue them from inherently dangerous situations,” said Manchester Fire Assistant Chief Matthew Lamothe. “During these unique and difficult times, we’re so thankful to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and our local Firehouse Subs here in Manchester.”

During the most recent grant cycle, the Foundation awarded 120 grants to public safety organizations nationwide. The 120 grants total nearly $2.5 million and were given to organizations in need of critical lifesaving equipment.
