Manchester Police Hunt For Murder Suspect Near Londonderry

Timothy Johnson, a homeless man located in Manchester, is wanted on a second-degree murder charge after a shooting at a shelter on Saturday.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police and New Hampshire State Police troopers have an extensive search in a large area of south Manchester near Londonderry looking for a homicide suspect.

Timothy Johnson is wanted on a second-degree murder charge. He is accused of killing Jean Lascelle, 67, who was shot on Saturday outside of 351 Chestnut St. in Manchester, the city's former police station which is a makeshift homeless shelter.

MPD Chief Aldenberg confirmed the search is underway for Johnson — who is considered armed and dangerous.

The search began around 6:45 a.m. on Monday, in a large area surrounded by Huse Road, South Willow Street, Sheffield Road, and South Mammoth Road.

The state police have several units on Interstate 293 near the area being searched.

A state police helicopter has been in the area searching using thermal imaging cameras for several hours.

Manchester police have also been seen in the area using drones, and officers with police K-9 units.
