After about 30 minutes, troopers with K-9s entered the swamp and were directed to the man by the drone hovering above. The man was removed from the swamp and brought to dry ground at a business on Londonderry Road.

Londonderry Fire and EMS was summoned to the scene to evaluate the man, who was wet, cold, and complaining of an ankle injury. He was placed in handcuffs and transported by Londonderry Fire to Parkland Medical Center. Sources indicated that at the scene, the man had several probation and parole violations.
