• State Tax Amnesty Program Exceeding Expectations, Council Told (indepthnh.org) — New Hampshire’s Executive Council reviewed a slate of statewide actions that included, but ultimately withdrew, a $62,046 equipment grant contract for Sunnycrest Farm in Londonderry. Councilors also heard that the state’s tax amnesty program is bringing in far more revenue than expected, approved school water and public safety grants, and advanced major property and rural health initiatives that could indirectly affect Londonderry residents over time.
   

• Senate unveils tweak to repealing auto, truck inspections (unionleader.com) — A major change to New Hampshire’s vehicle inspection rules—advanced only after Londonderry’s House Speaker Sherman Packard broke a key budget tie—is getting last‑minute tweaks in the Senate. Lawmakers are refining rules for used‑car sales and dealer plates, while debating whether to restore a legal definition of “unsafe vehicle” so police can still target dangerously defective cars on the road.
   

• 'Paint tax' bill heads to Ayotte's desk (unionleader.com) — Londonderry residents may soon pay a small fee on every can of paint or stain, as lawmakers send a closely contested “paint tax” bill to Gov. Kelly Ayotte. Supporters say it will cut town hazardous waste costs, while opponents warn it’s effectively a new sales tax and could hurt small hardware stores. Ayotte has not indicated whether she will sign it.
