- A Canterbury, New Hampshire church that offers "hallucinogenic tea" has a following, but the shaman pastor said his time in the town is running out. Derek Januszewski said the life he led before he discovered ayahuasca tea, was a struggle "with obsessive-compulsive disorder, childhood trauma and drug addiction," but after he took ayahuasca in May 2017 for the first time, he said he had "no cravings," and "absolutely no pull to use." In 2006, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in that the government could not stop a New Mexico church from using the substance in their ceremony.
