- Several vehicles were struck by flying bullets after a Friday incident in Manchester on Union Street. Police are investigating the report of shots fired Friday night that left two vehicles with damage from bullets. Authorities said that at about 10:30 p.m., Manchester Police were called to the area of Union and Bell streets for a reported shooting. Witnesses said that people were on the sidewalk "and someone in the group started shooting." No injuries were reported. (Manchester Ink Link)
- A project to bring reliable drinking water for Plaistow and four other communities "that was only a dream" 50 years ago is now in place. Manchester Water Works, state, and local officials celebrated Phase 1 of an agreement that brings 1 million gallons of water from Lake Massabesic each day to Plaistow, Windham, Salem, Atkinson and Hampstead, to provide a safe and reliable source of water to about 30,000 people. Plaistow and other towns had issues with safe sources of drinkable water, including pollution from MtBE, a gasoline additive, PFAS (per- and perfluoroalkyl) substances, arsenic and manganese. Phil Croasdale, director of Manchester Water Works, said that even though much of New Hampshire continues to deal with drought, the additional draw of 1 million gallons of water per day from Lake Massabesic will not be a problem. - It's official! N.H Eye Associates has moved to its new location on Second Street in Manchester. After years of planning, and a few construction delays to convert the former Subaru dealership on Second Street, N.H Eye Associates officially celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its staff and guests Tuesday afternoon. N.H Eye Associates was previously located at 1415 Elm St. above Granite State Credit Union. (Subscription/The Union Leader)
