Here are the top three stories in Manchester today:

  1. U.S. Marshalls arrested a man wanted on attempted murder charges in Manchester and Goffstown. Officials said the man was involved in a shooting and burglary in Goffstown last October and had a warrant for a shooting in Manchester in June 2019. He currently faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and burglary. (WMUR)
  2. A 14-year-old Manchester teenager died after jumping from the Huse Road overpass. The Southside Middle School superintendent emailed all parents about her passing and invited Manchester counselors and the state Disaster Behavior Health Response Team to the middle school to talk about the loss. It is believed that the student was trying to take her own life, but the cause is unclear. (Yahoo)
  3. The controversial parental rights Senate Bill 272 was postponed indefinitely in New Hampshire. LGBTQ groups believed the bill would put children at risk by informing their parents about any clubs they partake in and whether they're exploring a different gender identity. Lawmakers adopted several amendments to the bill, eliminating some more controversial elements. (WMUR)
