Here are the top three stories today in Manchester:

1. A new transformer is being moved across New Hampshire today. Eversource has announced it will move the giant piece of electrical equipment from Hooksett to Hampton. The transformer will serve as a backup power source in emergency situations. The move will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in a special truck and trailer. (Patch)
2. The New Hampshire House of Representatives has ruled against allowing weapons into the Representatives Hall Chamber. The ruling failed 177-197 yesterday. Opponents pointed out that New Hampshire does not allow deadly weapons in courtrooms and prisons, and the same should apply to the House. The debate on this issue is ongoing. (In Depth NH)
3. Two state troopers and a Concord man were injured in a vehicular incident on I-93. The accident took place on Tuesday, when a car struck the back of a state police cruiser in the breakdown lane. The state troopers were assisting a driver when 31-year-old Michael Dimatti crashed into them while trying to merge. All three individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment. (Officer)
