Medical building, freestanding ER pitched for long-vacant property in Manchester (unionleader.com) — A long-vacant Londonderry Turnpike property in Manchester may soon become a two-story medical office building and an 11,000-square-foot freestanding emergency room, with access from both Londonderry Turnpike and Wellington Road. The planning board has continued the project hearing to next month as developers finalize users and address traffic impacts from more than 100 projected peak-hour trips.

2. Feds given extension to respond to Manchester wastewater permit appeal (unionleader.com) — Manchester’s wastewater treatment plant is at the center of a federal permit fight over PFAS “forever chemicals” entering the Merrimack River. The EPA just got more time to answer an appeal from Conservation Law Foundation, which argues the permit ignores state water-quality standards and industrial discharges from Manchester and nearby towns.

Pedestrian struck, killed on South Willow Street in Manchester (inklink.news) — A 65-year-old Manchester woman died after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening on South Willow Street near Huse Road, prompting an ongoing investigation by city police. Officers say the 52-year-old driver from Nashua was uninjured, and they are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Manchester Police Department Traffic Unit with information.

4. ‘Crow Patrol' comes to Manchester (inklink.news) — Thousands of crows are gathering nightly along Manchester’s Merrimack River, drawing a visit from “Crow Patrol” co-founder and drone observer Craig Gibson. Local birder Mark Timmerman has tracked the city’s impressive winter roosts for years, documenting shifting locations, sky-darkening flyovers, and how learning about crow behavior can turn neighborhood frustration into fascination.
