  1. Solar panels can now be installed to power your home at a much lower cost. Thanks to the newly passed Inflation Reduction Act. homeowners will receive a 30 percent tax credit for solar panel installation through 2032. The Rossen Reports also reported solar panels are good for the environment (they don't release pollutants into the air), and they help save energy. Homes powered by solar also don't have to move electricity across the power lines, which reduces stress on the electric grid. And there's more. If your house converts more energy than it uses, you can either store it or sell it back to the power company. Homeowners have to decide if investing in solar power is a good choice for them, but with the new tax credit, a lot more New Hampshire homes may be powered by the sun. (WMUR)
  2. The one and only Howie Mandel will be performing live at The Palace Theater on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. Howie Mandel has been in show business for more than 30 years, and has appeared in television, film and on stage, including the Emmy Award-winning show "St. Elsewhere." Before you head to the Palace to catch Howie's show, earlier in the day you can listen to the lively The New Hampshire Jazz Orchestra. They will bring the excitement of Big Band music to the Rex Theater at 2 p.m. on 23 Amherst St. in Manchester. Music Director Clayton “Skip” Poole has worked with "luminaries" like Mel Torme, Cab Calloway, Rosemary Clooney, Andy Williams, Maynard Ferguson and Johnny Mathis. You can buy tickets for these shows and other performances here: (The Palace Theatre)
  3. A California company has big plans for the former Manchester Police Station. Lincoln Avenue Capital, a Santa Monica based developer, received variances from the Zoning Board in April to tear down the old police station at 351 Chestnut St. to build a five-story apartment building with "up to 110 units and a parking garage." The company also plans to build a four-story building "with up to 50 units" on Merrimack Street in an underused parking lot. The zoning board will hear more about the developer's plans at 6 p.m. on Thursday. “The property is surrounded by a mix of uses, multi-level buildings and amenities that are complementary to the affordable housing density this project proposes,” the application said.
