Here are the top stories in Manchester today:

  1. You can find family events and live music in the Queen City this weekend! A few family events to check out on Saturday are Storytime and Crafts at The Bookery downtown, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Palace Theatre is also having "Legally Blonde Jr." Summer Camp on Saturday at 11 a.m. If you're looking for live music, performers are playing Saturday at The Hill Bar and Grille, The Derryfield Country Club, and The Backyard Brewery and Kitchen — just to name a few. You can find more local events here: (Manchester Events via Google)
  2. A shout out to Manchester police and investigators who arrested a man that police warned the public to "not approach." On Friday, police said they arrested Drew Fortier, 26, after he had violently attacked a person that was known to him early Thursday morning in south Manchester. The victim remains in the hospital with serious injuries. Police believe that Fortier was suffering from mental health issues, and he is being held in preventative detention. (WMUR)
  3. Construction equipment was thrown from the Queen City bridge onto cars on the interstate between 10 and 10:15 p.m. Thursday night. Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop barracks in Bedford responded to "multiple calls" of vehicles struck by construction equipment thrown off of the Queen City Bridge into oncoming traffic. Three vehicles traveling southbound under the bridge had smashed windshields and other damage. The items included four-foot lengths of rebar, shovels and concrete. Construction crews were not working on the bridge at the time of the incidents. Police are asking anyone with information, or who was driving over the bridge Thursday night between 10 and 10:15 p.m., to contact Trooper Kyle Foster at 603-223-3785 or Kyle.B.Foster@dos.nh.gov.
