  1. Way to go, Manchester! Visitors and residents are invited to celebrate fall downtown on Oct. 28. Have a chance to meet Mayor Joyce Craig at City Hall, get a free book from the Bookmobile, and stroll down Elm Street, where downtown businesses are welcoming trick-or-treaters. Then head to Stanton Plaza, where there will be kid's games, pumpkin carving and more. (Manchester Ink Link)
  2. A person was killed Tuesday night after jumping from the Queen City Bridge into oncoming traffic on Interstate 293 northbound around 6:30 p.m., State Police said. The Manchester Fire Department, medical first responders and State Police were on the scene. Several vehicles were involved and I-293 North was closed at Exit 4 until 9 p.m., according to authorities. (Subscription/The Union Leader)
  3. Be careful where you park in Manchester: The city doubled snow emergency parking fines. It's the first time parking fines have changed in nine years. Fines for overnight winter parking have gone from $25 to $50 for a first-time offense. Snow emergency parking fines increase from $75 to $150, and street sweeping parking fines are now $50.
