  1. Friday morning, May 26, a man was shot by police during a confrontation at Wellington Terrace Apartments on Mammoth Road. This is the third officer-involved shooting within a year. Chief Allen Aldenberg, of the Manchester Police Department, said he has confidence his officers have acted appropriately, but an investigation is underway. (WMUR 9)
  2. The City of Manchester launched a municipal branding initiative to discover Manchester's brand. North Star Place Branding was selected to craft the community’s character and story into "cohesive and verbal messaging designed to attract new residents and tourists as well as increasing civic pride among current residents."   3. On May 25, Sen. Tim Scott, R- South Carolina, visited Manchester for his first campaign event in New Hampshire since announcing his run for president. It was a small gathering of about a dozen women from the state's Federation of Republican Women and Scott answered questions about education, the economy, and abortion. When asked about South Carolina's recent ban on abortion, Scott said told the women in Manchester that he believes women should have options. But the previous day Scott had called the ban "good news." (WMUR 9)
