- Evictions for the city's homeless encampment on Manchester and Pine streets began on Wednesday following a judge's ruling. On Friday, The American Civil Liberties Union of New Hampshire filed a lawsuit to block the city's plans; however, Judge John C. Kissinger Jr. agreed with the city and called the encampment a "serious public health hazard." Those living in the encampment were given eviction notices last week and had until Tuesday to leave. - Manchester can expect to see plowable snow tonight into tomorrow. Later in the day today, the sunny weather will be replaced with a robust storm system that will stick around until Friday night. Precipitation is expected to begin after sunset today and will continue tomorrow. Across the state, New Hampshire is expected to see four to eight inches of snow. (WMUR)
- On Tuesday afternoon, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash that temporarily shut down Bodwell Road. Police responded to the 1107 Bodwell Road area at around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 17 for the crash involving a blue 2017 Yamaha YZFR6 motorcycle and a blue 2018 Honda Civic.
