Here are the top three stories in Manchester today:
- Police arrested two Manchester residents in connection to a violent robbery that occurred on May 2 on Calef Road. According to police, 30-year-old David Hoffens and 26-year-old Adrian Hardisty drove up behind the victim in an SUV, assaulted and robbed the victim, and then got back into the vehicle and drove away. Both Hoffens and Hardisty have been charged with felony robbery. Hardisty also had multiple warrants for his arrest, including first-degree assault with a deadly weapon. (WHDH.com)
- On Wednesday, May 17, there were reports that a person jumped or fell from the Huse Road overpass on Interstate 293 Southbound near Exit 1 in Manchester. State police were advising people to avoid the area and the Manchester Fire Department reported “traffic gridlock." As of 7:30 p.m. on May 17, there was no further information. (New Hampshire Union Leader)
- Adult volunteer mentors are needed to help student plane-building programs in Manchester and Hudson. Those who are interested must attend the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire’s plane-build volunteer mentor open house on Monday, May 22, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend the open house, regardless of experience or background. Training in basic workshop skills and procedures will be offered. (General Aviation News)

- On Tuesday, May 16, for the second night in a row, Manchester's Aldermanic chambers again debated the city's contract with GateHouse, which helps homeless individuals suffering from substance abuse detox. The motion for the GateHouse Director to present information directly to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BMA) was again tabled. (Manchester Ink Link)
