Police Investigating Suspicious Death Near Manchester High School

Update: NH AG says Manchester Police and Hillsborough County Attorney are now handling the investigation, assisted by dept of Justice

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police, fire, and AMR ambulance responded to Lowell Street near Maple Street for a report of an assault with a man with injuries Thursday.

While en route, the call was upgraded with a fire engine and paramedic due to a report the victim was unresponsive. Responders began CPR immediately and transported the man to the Elliot Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

NH Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announced they are investigating the death of a man that they referred to as suspicious.

The incident occurred in the area of Manchester Central High School, and as a precautionary measure, the school instituted a stay-in-place, which is still in effect.

There is no indication that the incident involves any students or firearms according to police.
