- Beginning in fall 2023, New England College’s Institute of Art and Design will move its classes and other programs out of downtown Manchester to the college’s main campus in Henniker. By uniting in a common location, faculty hope to extend their contributions to the College community and make art and design more readily available to the student body. The institute will provide degree opportunities in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in several dedicated spaces on the Henniker campus. (Manchester Ink Link)
- The Greater Manchester Chamber is bringing its second annual Taco Tour Manchester back to Elm Street on Thursday, May 4. The event, one of the largest single-day food festivals in the world, will feature 100 participating restaurants and businesses. The event will run from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and will feature creative interpretations and spins on the taco as they relate to each specific business. For the full list of participating restaurants and businesses, click here. (Manchester Ink Link)
- An event for The Bookery sparked protests outside on the sidewalk and street on Saturday. As adults arrived at the "Drag Queen Storytime with Ivy League” event, they walked through a small crowd of people displaying signs and carrying flags. Many outside the event wore face masks and had apparel associated with "Proud Boys.” Many of the signs emphasized that it was not appropriate for kids to attend the event. Manchester police had several officers visible in the area sitting in cruisers and members of the SWAT unit in vehicles near the event. (Patch)

- Four new “BigBelly” high-capacity waste receptacles were installed throughout downtown Manchester on Thursday. Equipped with solar compactor and digital alerting software, the pull-out compactor helps the city’s crews empty the units faster with fewer stops, which will reduce overflow and visible waste! - A video posted to the New Hampshire ULocal Facebook page showed a moose being followed by a Manchester police cruiser on Alsace Street early Saturday morning. Nikki Liz, who shared the video, said their dog woke up barking and they thought it was an intruder. To see the video, visit the link. (WMUR)
- Through the 6 Million Steps campaign, dozens took to the streets on Sunday with the goal of getting 6 million steps in to honor more than 6 million Jewish people killed in the Holocaust. The Jewish Federation of New Hampshire partnered with two Manchester synagogues to organize the half-mile walk. (WMUR)
