  1. A man has been indicted on charges of second-degree murder after a fatal shooting outside a Manchester bar. The attorney general's office said John Delee of Salem shot and killed Timothy Pouliot back in January during a fight that started inside the bar. The indictment also includes charges of reckless conduct for firing a weapon near people and vehicles. He is scheduled to be arraigned in May. (WMUR)
  2. Applications for The Community Driven Economic Empowerment program are now open until May 19. The program aims to help low-income, business owners of color with up to $5,000 in funds and free business coaching and counseling. The funds can be used for computer hardware and software, legal consultation, marketing or bookkeeping. The initiative was launched in January 2022, but the program delayed accepting applications until last week. There will be a workshop to help with applications on May 6 at 30 Amherst St. in Manchester from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (NHPR)
  3. Some 71 New Hampshire residents lost a state record $2.6 million to romance scams in 2022, according to FBI and Federal Trade Commission (FTA) data. The amount of money New Hampshire residents lost to romance scams in 2022 was 155 percent of the amount lost in 2021, making the state fourth in the nation for year-over-year increase, the study found. The amount lost ranked New Hampshire 37th in the U.S., up from 48th in 2021. Romance scammers use fake photos and online accounts and believable lies to lure victims into parting with their money.
