- An employee at a Brown Avenue restaurant called police to report a customer who "did not pay his bill, touched a waitress, and got into an argument with the wait staff." According to Manchester police logs reported by Under the Radar, the caller said the man left his cell phone and other items behind, and thought he may have a firearm. The man called the police about 20 minutes later saying he wanted his cell phone back. He also said "the employees at the restaurant offered him drugs." Police officers met with the man and determined that he did not have a weapon. He was banned from the restaurant for a year. (Manchester Ink Link)
- A serious respiratory infection outbreak is causing dogs to get very sick in New Hampshire, veterinarians warn. Experts say they do not know the exact cause of the illness, but dogs "get very sick, very quickly." Many dogs seem to be getting the illness from other dogs at doggie day care. Symptoms start with a cough, runny nose, or difficulty breathing, and can quickly become much more serious. Dogs are getting sick quickly and are coming down with pneumonia, said Dr. Karen Tinkham, owner of Milford Veterinary Hospital. "Many dogs have been hospitalized, and some dogs have even died from it,” she said. (WMUR)
- Wild action sports heroes will be performing "tricks, bone-crushing fails and comedic moments" at the Delta Dental Stadium. It's all happening at the Nitro Circus. This new tour was "built from the core, driven by unbelievable content, new athletes and crazy contraptions like a flying lawn mower that fuel the sketchy, scary and cringeworthy dangers of big-air action sports entertainment." Check it out on Thursday, Aug. 25. You can find out more here: (96.5 The Mill)
