- "Should New Hampshire eliminate the office of 'register of probate'?" That's the first question on the ballot in November. It asks New Hampshire voters if references to “registers of probate" should be removed from the state Constitution. The Register of Probate used to handle issues like simple wills, but a 2011 restructuring of the court "removed nearly all the official duties." "Register of probate" doesn't appear anywhere in the question, but instead shows what the state Constitution would look like without the registers of probate included in the text. If you agree, you would vote “yes” to the first question. See all of the ballot questions here: (Manchester Ink Link)
- The Amoskeag Bridge Exit 6 on-ramp for I-293 north will be closed Sunday morning, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced. The northbound on-ramp will close, weather permitting, beginning at 3 a.m. until about noon. Officials note, "Motorists seeking to access I-293 northbound are advised to continue south on the I-293 to Exit 5 and return to the Turnpike northbound."(Manchester Ink Link )
- You can still see vibrant fall colors in New Hampshire this weekend. WMUR meteorologist Haley Lapointe notes that the White Mountains are already past peak, but you can still see a few displays of bright foliage color, "especially in central and southern areas." This weekend may be your last chance to catch the colors as you drive around Manchester, or even if you take a ride to the seacoast. (WMUR)
