5 Things: Are You Owed Unclaimed Money?

Get this morning's news and notes in a tidy package.

Here are five things you should know as you start your Tuesday.

1. Ukulele Jamboree. Amy will bring her collection of ukuleles to the Merrimack Public Library for kindergarten-age children and their parents or caregivers. Learn how fun this instrument can be for small hands, and try out some great music activities for rhythm and tonal development similar to a Music Together class. Ukulele Jamboree is from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17. Registration is limited to eight kindergarteners and their adults (siblings welcome also). Register using an adult Merrimack Library card.

2. Join the Merrimack Chamber Lunch 'n Learn event.  Enjoy lunch provided by D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches and learn about the future of New Hampshire's telecommunications landscape from one of FairPoint's key NH leaders. Ellen Scarponi, NH's Director of Government Relations & Economic Development, FairPoint Communications will address a number of telecommunications issues, including the general status of the rapidly changing industry, broadband expansion and perhaps, most important, how FairPoint can assist small businesses in growth and development. Attendees of the 11:30 a.m. lunch on Wednesday, Oct. 17, will have time at the end of Ellen's talk to ask questions. Register now on the Chamber of Commerce website. Lunch 'n Learn will be held at Home, Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive.
