5 Things: Farmers Market Needs Volunteers

Start helping to prepare now for the annual outdoor Farmers Market.

Here are five things you should know as you start your Thursday.

1. Volunteers needed. The Merrimack Farmers Market is in need of volunteers for the upcoming season. Learn more about the Farmers Market at its next meeting on Friday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. in the Merrimack Memorial Room in Town Hall.

2. The Hawk Winter Edition. Catch up on what's going on at Merrimack High School and what the students are writing about. The Winter Edition of The Hawk is available on the Merrimack High School website in PDF format. Find it here.

3. Budget Hearing. The Merrimack Town Council will meet tonight at 6 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton Room for a final budget hearing with department heads before it deliberates on the budget itself on Jan. 21. Media, Adult Community Center, Assessing, General Government, Proposed Capital Reserve Fund, Proposed Issuance of Debt and Revenues.

4. A.M. Networking. Friday morning's A.M. Networking "is about you and your business and how the Merrimack Chamber fits into your marketing plan ... Are you a new member? Join us to become acquainted and to learn how to make the most of you membership! Are you a long-time member who hasn't engaged recently?  Join us to become reacquainted and learn about all the new programs and features we have in place for you to maximize your membership investment! 5. Weather watch. Sunny skies are back today, accompanied by wind and a high of 39. Wind could gust up to 21 mph. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 9 with continued winds that could gust up to about 20 mph.
