5 Things: Get Excited for Halloween and Win Some Cash

Here are five things you should know as you start your Wednesday.

1. Get involved. Today is the deadline to submit a letter of intent to join the Merrimack Public Library Board of Trustees vacancy left in the wake of trustee Martha Wagner's death in August. Submit your letter to the Town of Merrimack

2. Do you love Halloween? We have two costume contests running now, one for people and one for your animals! The winner of the Pet Costume photo contest, chosen among entries from around New Hampshire, will win a $50 gift card. Our nation-wide, Best Costume in America, contest has a bit sweeter a reward. One grand prize winner will take home $5,000. Each state will also crown a winner and that person will receive $250. So what are you waiting for? 3. ICYMI. William Lefabvre, a Merrimack resident and one of few remaining Pearl Harbor survivors, passed away Sunday after a period of declining health. There are no calling hours, but a memorial mass will be held today at 9:30 a.m. Lefabvre's full obituary is available here for more information.
