5 Things: Scholarship Applications Due Thursday
Two part-time jobs open at Merrimack Public Library.

Here are 5 things you should know as you start your Monday.
1. Scholarship applications due. College bound seniors have until Thursday to complete applications for this year’s scholarship program. Applications are available in the Guidance Office or can be downloaded via the internet at www.merrimack.k12.nh.us/mhs. This year, MHS will award approximately 100 scholarships totaling roughly $80,000. It is important that both students and parents fill out the application and return it to the Guidance Department by the deadline of March 28. No applications will be accepted after 3 p.m. If parents have questions, they should call Kathy Sketchley at the Guidance
Office, 424-6204, ext. 2.
2. Help wanted. The Merrimack Public Library is looking for a positive team-player to work in our fast-paced Youth Services Department as the Youth Services Library Aide I, a part-time position. The ideal candidate will have creative problem-solving abilities, and can be attentive to details while exhibiting a commitment to the library's mission. Duties include conducting preschool storytimes and other innovative programs for children and teens; providing readers' advisory services and guidance in locating library materials; assisting patrons in the use of library computers; and processing library materials. There is also position for a part-time Youth Services Page/Aide open. Read the full job descriptions for both positions here. The deadline to apply is April 5.
