5 Things: Send Your Love and Thoughts With Newtown
The school board will meet tonight for a regularly-scheduled meeting.

1. School board. The Merrimack School Board will meet tonight in the Matthew Thornton Room (formerly the Town Hall Meeting Room) at 7:30 p.m. tonight. On the agenda is a discussion about the Presidential election with Moderator Lynn Christensen and a proposal for a social media policy by former school board chairwoman Jody Vaillancourt. Get the full agenda here.
2. New Hampshire to Newtown. We started a project on Sunday in New Hampshire and we need your help. Knowing how deeply Friday's shooting in Newtown, Conn., has affected all of us, we want to share a virtual card with the Newtown Community letting them know how much we care. Check out our New Hampshire to Newtown project and upload a photo to the card.
3. Share your treasures. The Library is looking for attractive items to exhibit in its locked display case. Collectibles, historical items, photos and small art objects and crafts are examples of some recent displays that library patrons have enjoyed viewing. Only non-profit displays can be accepted. If you would like to share your treasures for a month, please call the Reference Department at (603) 424-5021 or email. See photos of past exhibits.

4. Tracking Santa. Christmas is just eight days away, which means Santa is on his way. Get in the spirit with the kids and track Santa as he prepares to make his journey. Using the NORAD website, you'll be able to track Santa when he starts his journey around the world on Christmas Eve. Until then, there is plenty for kids to do in the Countdown Village. Get more information here.
5. Weather watch. Wet weather continues today with a messy morning mix of rain showers, snow showers, freezing rain, and sleet, becoming all rain after 1 p.m. Patchy fog after 1 p.m. High near 39. Tonight showers will continue with patchy fog and a low around 36.
