5 Things: Temps Could Dip Subzero Today

Check out our new video profile on the Patch business listing for Adonai's Place.

Here are five things you should know as you start your Wednesday.

1. Brrrrrrr. Bundle up, because today's high is going to be a balmy 17 degrees, and wind chill factors may make it feel like -10. Northwest wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Tonight temperatures may dip into the negatives at -2, with wind chill values as low as -13.

2. READ with Teddy and Dudley. Bonus day with two reading dogs at the Merrimack Public Library at the same time! Children ages 4 and older, (as well as teens, adults and everyone in between!) who would like to practice their reading skills can read to Dudley or Teddy, certified therapy dogs, from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Jan. 26. Reading materials will be available, but you are welcome to bring your favorite choice. Need to practice reading aloud in a foreign language? That's fine too! To reserve a 15 minute time slot, register online or call the Children's Room at 424-5021. Use an adult Merrimack Library card to register. *Dudley will be accompanied by his companion Reading Specialist Karen Demyanovich who recently retired from the Merrimack School District. Teddy will be accompanied by his companion, Melanie Paul, a Delta Society R.E.A.D. volunteer.

Come and meet Merrimack's new General Manager, Kirk Perry and see what else is new at the Common Man.  Space is limited, so be sure to register early if you plan to attend.  Register Now!
