7-Year-Old Holding Lemonade for Boston Stand

Here are five things you should know as you start your Thursday.

1. Lemonade for Boston. This comes from Merrimack resident Erica Mikaelian: My 7-year-old daughter, Julia Mikaelian, heard me get asked to donate to Boston at Dunkin Donuts today, and I did, and she wanted to figure out a way to donate money, too. She and a friend are hosting a 'Lemonade for Boston' stand (today) starting at 9 a.m. at 11 Currier Road in Merrimack. Stop by and support these little ones on their adventure, and help out your neighbors to the south.

2. Town Council to meet. The Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight in the Matthew Thornton Room for a regularly-scheduled meeting. On the agenda they will learn more from the Rotary Club regarding this year's plans for the Fourth of July midway and they will discuss the language of the contract for the future attendant of the swap shop at the Transfer Station, and much more. Get the full agenda on the town website.

3. Turn trash to treasure. Tweens and teens in grades 5-12 are invited to create fashion accessories from recycled clothes and "trash" materials, including soda-tab bracelets or keychains, T-shirt totes, and duct-taped ties. Swing by the Merrimack Public Library from 3:30-5 p.m.

4. ICYMI. A fun video from yesterday showing the New Hampshire House of Representatives making a pretty "Sweet" gesture to Massachusetts. Watch the NH House gives its vocal chords a little workout.

5. Weather watch. Here's look at today's forecast courtesy of the National Weather Service. Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 66. Northwest wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Thursday Night Clear, with a low around 35
