Abby Lars and Rocko Looking for Homes to Grow Into

Meet this week's Pets of the Week from the Humane Society for Greater Nashua.

Abby Lars

It’s me, Abby Lars! I’m a very special kitty who needs to be your one and only pet resident. I’m here because sadly my owner passed away. I enjoy being patted, but not picked up. I’m not a good fit to live with young children as I let you know when I have had enough attention by my body posture and this can be difficult for children to read. Children can be so excited to interact with me that their quick movements scare me! I enjoy lying in a window watching the world outside and like to play with toys too. My previous owner said I was very different in her home than here- much more relaxed and enjoyed sitting on the couch with her. All the other animal residents in the shelter tend to be stressful for me so I would really like to find my new forever home today! Don’t forget, all new adopters receive a free first visit to your choice of 16 area vets.

Rocko

I’m a cute, three year old Beagle cross ready for someone to explore with! I’m your typical hound and love to follow my nose. Sometimes that gets me into trouble and I can be a bit of an escape artist when a scent catches my interest! That being said, I will do best in a home with a fenced in yard. I don’t quite know what to think of young kids, so I would prefer a home with teens and up. I would love a family who will play with me and take me for car rides- one of my favorite things! Once I have a little time to warm up I’ll show you my playful side, but don’t worry, I settle well when it’s quiet time. Staff here has been training me, and I would be really happy to continue it in my new home- is it yours? Don’t forget, all new adopters receive a free first visit to your choice of 16 area vets.
