Are Flu Shots Still Available in Pharmacies
Which pharmacies in town are out and where can you still get a flu shot.

The flu is knocking people down for the count around the country and sending those who haven't been vaccinated yet scrambling to doctors, pharmacies and shot clinics in an attempt to avoid getting sick.
In our latest version of You Ask, Patch Answers, we checked in with pharmacies around town offering on the spot flu shots to see if anyone still had shots available.
The good news is the answer was mostly yest.

Walgreens and CVS had them at the ready on Thursday when we called and CVS said they were expecting more today.
Rite Aid was temporarily out of the regular shot but expected to receive more some time later Thursday afternoon or early this morning. The pharmacist who answered the call said stores are supposed to be receiving 6,200 doses a piece to answer the demand.

Osco Drug inside of Shaws on Continental Boulevard had 10 intradermal vaccines left and a good stock of the high dose flu shot for people older than 65, but Osco up on Daniel Webster Highway was completely out of stock.
Neither Osco Pharmacy is expecting to receive anymore doses.
If you prefer to get a flu shot at your doctor's office, make sure to call ahead and see if they have doeses available.
