Contested Town Council, School Board Races
Merrimack's annual town and school election is Tuesday, April 8.
Merrimack voters at annual Town Meeting on Tuesday will decide contested races for Town Council and School Board.
The Town Council, three candidates are vying two seats: Bill Boyd, Lenette M. Peterson and Finlay C. Rothhaus. Boyd and Rothhaus are incumbents. Peterson is a state representative.
For School Board, Cinda Guagliumi and George Markwell are running for one seat on the five-member board. Markwell is an incumbent.
Voters will decide town and school fiscal business as well, including a proposed $68,682,241 operating budget for the school department. Read the school district warrant. The town operating budget on the warrant is $31,979,257, and Article 2 proposes $3.3 million in bonding for the highway garage upgrades and installation. Here is the town's sample ballot.
Polling hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the James Mastricola Upper Elementary School.
