Electric car curriculum
NCC’s new electric car kit from The Switch Lab will be on display at Open House. The electric car kit arrived this summer in a box, and was assembled by a team of faculty members. NCC professors plan to integrate lessons using the electric car across disciplines, including engineering, computer science, precision manufacturing, and automotive.

New Mazda pathway
Starting Fall 2022, NCC will host a new automotive technology associate degree with a Mazda pathway. The Mazda Automotive Student Training (MAST) prepares students to become a senior certified technician, and includes benefits such as tuition reimbursement and discounted tools. With the support of local dealers, students can expect networking opportunities and career pathways straight out of college. Faculty and industry partners will be on campus to share more information about this new opportunity with Open House visitors.
Student Life
NCC returned to campus full time this fall, and since then student clubs, activities, and events have been stronger than ever. At Open House, the Student Life Office will be celebrating the grand opening of the multipurpose Game Room – a new hub for student activities and clubs located on the second floor directly above the cafeteria and gym area. Student clubs will be on site hosting games and greeting visitors.
Business & Industry partners
Aside from Mazda, Open House will host college partners such as BMW and Sunnyside Acura dealers, Granite State Manufacturing, General Electric, Game Creek Video, the Catering and Events Director from Great NH Restaurants, early childhood educators, human services partners, and more.
NCC students benefit from career pathway partnerships through relationships built through advisory boards, as well as internship and apprenticeship connections. Visitors can chat with faculty and local partners to see how a degree, certificate, or training program can lead right into a new career.
Career Guidance
Not sure where to begin? At Open House, visitors can also take a free “Career Coach” survey for a list of college and career pathways that match their interests. Career Coach results provide a list of recommended careers, relevant open positions in the area, and what college program is needed to qualify for the position.
Financial Aid
Financial Aid staff will be able to answer questions about scholarships, grants, and loans; and how best to plan ahead for higher education.
Culinary Arts demonstration
Culinary Arts faculty will be cooking cherries jubilee live at Open House.
