The New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands has declared today a Class 3 fire danger day, saying that "several days of dry and windy conditions have dried out surface fuels."
Gusty northwest winds of 25 mph are expected Friday afternoon, creating an elevated chance of brush fires. The National Weather Service has also issued a special weather statement for Hillsborough and Cheshire counties.
Elevated fire conditions will continue through mid-day Saturday, but winds should diminish in the afternoon. There is a “low probability” that southwest winds on Sunday will cause a wind advisory.
