FIRE LOG: MFD Responds to Water Main Break

Merrimack Fire and Rescue Department incident log for March 18 through 20.

Monday March 18, 2013

2:48 p.m.: Station 1 and 2 were dispatched to Fidelity Investments, Spartan Way, for an adult female with difficulty breathing.

Ambulance 1 and Engine 2 responded and found an adult female with difficulty breathing. The patient was treated and transported to the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

4:40 p.m.: Station 2 was dispatched to Stevens Avenue for a reported water main break.

Engine 2 responded and found water pushing up from under the pavement. Merrimack Village District was notified and responded to repair the leak.

10:53 a.m.: Station 1 and 2 were dispatched to a single family residence on Edward Lane for an elderly male with neurological problems.

Ambulance 1 and Engine 2 responded and found an elderly male with stroke like symptoms. The patient was treated and transported to the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

1:55 p.m.: Station 1 was dispatched to a single family residence on Belmont Drive for an adult male unconscious and not breathing.

Ambulance 1 and Engine 1 responded and found an adult male in cardiac arrest. The patient was treated and transported to the Catholic Medical Center.

6:32 p.m.: Station 1 was dispatched to a single family residence on Carriage Lane for an unconscious juvenile female.

Ambulance1 and Engine 1 responded and found juvenile female with diminished consciousness. The patient was treated and transported to the Elliot Hospital.

7:34 p.m.: Station 1 and 2 were dispatched to a single family residence on Turkey Hill Road for an elderly female who had fallen..

Ambulance 2 and Engine 2 responded and found an elderly female with injuries from a fall. The patient was treated and transported to St. Joseph Hospital.

7:35 p.m. Station 1 was dispatched to a single family residence on Grapevine Road for an adult male with a hand injury.

Engine 1 responded and found an adult male with a hand injury. Bedford Ambulance 1 was requested for mutual aid due to multiple medicals calls being dispatched at the same time. The patient was transported by Bedford Ambulance 1.

10:59 p.m.: Station 1 was dispatched to Patten Road for a reported sparking wire.

Engine 1 responded and was unable to find any problems in the area.

5:01 a.m.: Station 1 was dispatched to a single family residence on Joppa Road for a lift assist.

Ambulance 1 responded and assisted an adult male from the floor to his bed.

6:03 a.m.: Station 1 and 2 were dispatched to a single family residence on Stonedge Way for a fire alarm activation.

Engine 1 and 2 responded and found a false alarm due to a problem with a pellet stove.

7:10 a.m.: Station 1 and 2 were dispatched to Amherst Road near the intersection with Lester Road for a reported motor vehicle accident.

Ambulance 1 and Engine 2 responded and found a single car motor vehicle accident with a car off the road into a ditch. An adult female was evaluated and denied injury.

9:04 a.m.: Station 1 was dispatched to a multi-family residence on Coventry Court for an elderly female who had fallen.

Ambulance 1 responded and found an elderly female with injuries from a fall. The patient was treated and transported to St. Joseph Hospital.

11:46 a.m.: Station 1 was dispatched to the Merrimack Youth Association building for an adult male unable to walk.

Ambulance 1 and Engine 1 responded and found an adult male unable to walk due to a pre-existing medical condition. The patient was assisted and transported to his home. 

4 p.m.: Ambulance 1 was dispatched to standby by for a police matter on Wire Road.

Ambulance 1 responded and staged at Mallard Point until cleared at 5:51 p.m. with no assistance being needed.

10:11 p.m.: Station 1 and 2 were dispatched to the Mastricola Upper Elementary School for a fire alarm activation.

Engine 1 and 2 responded and found a false alarm due to floor cleaning. The alarm system was reset.
