Free Coffee, Local Meetings and a Volleyball Semifinal

What's on tap in Merrimack for the week.

Free coffee with the Dunkin' Donuts app. To celebrate the Boston Red Sox World Champions, Dunkin’ Donuts will treat fans who have the Dunkin’ Mobile App to a coupon for a free medium hot or iced coffee on Nov. 4 at participating Dunkin’ Donuts locations. The offer is available and redeemable only on Nov. 4 through the “My Offers” tab of the Dunkin’ Mobile App, the brand’s app for mobile payment and gifting, and is valid for guests only in Massachusetts (except Berkshire County), New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, and Vermont (Windham County only).

School board meeting. The Merrimack School Board will meet Monday, Nov. 4 in the Matthew Thornton Room at Town Hall for a regularly-scheduled meeting. Among agenda items are a presentation regarding the Souhegan Trail Easement by Debra Huffman, Davis Powell  and a 2012-2013 budget year-end review by Matt Shevenell. Volleyball semifinal. Load up the car and hit the road for Pinkerton on Tuesday afternoon to cheer the Merrimack girls varsity volleyball team on to a semifinal win over Salem High School at 5 p.m. A win Tuesday puts the girls into the championship game at 7 p.m. on Nov. 9 against the winner of the Dover/Alvirne game to be played at Pinkerton immediately after the Merrimack/Salem game. Good luck ladies!

Town Council meeting. The Merrimack Town Council will meet on Thursday, Nov. 7 for a regularly-scheduled meeting. On the agenda is a presentation of the draft capital improvements plan and a discussion about the toll booths in Merrimack, submitted by Dan Dwyer, to see if the Town Council has interest in taking legal action against the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation to remove the toll booth plazas in Merrimack.
