Fund Started to Help Local Couple Recovering from Bombing Injuries
Here are five things you should know as your start your week.

1. In need of assistance. The children of a Nashua couple injured while watching the Boston Marathon two weeks ago, have set up a fund are reaching out to the community asking for donations to help their mom and dad. Alvaro and Martha Galvis, who've been attending the Boston Marathon annually for about 40 years said after this year's events, it's likely the last time they'll go to that event. The Galvises were both seriously injured in the bombing. Anyone who can help them make their recovery a little easier can donate at the Galvis Fund, on GiveForward.com. 2. Dog licenses due. 2013 dog licenses are now available at the Town Clerk’s office. All dogs 4 months and older are required by law to be licensed annually by April 30. To license your dog, the town must have proof that your dog’s rabies shot is valid. In addition, if your dog is neutered or spayed, a copy of the certificate needs to be filed with the town. 3. Share your yard sales. Looking to get rid of your junk? Are you planning a yard sale this spring or summer? Let more people know about your sale and sell more of your unwanted items by sharing your yard sale information in Patch's calendar. Both the Merrimack police and fire departments use Nixle primarily to push out alerts and emergency information to people all around town. Go to Nixle.com and sign up for e-mail and/or text alerts and stay on top of any emergency information from your public officials
5. Weather watch. A nice spring day today, maybe even feeling like early summer, according to the National Weather Service. Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
