NCC has three new remote career training tracks perfect for those who wish to level up in their current careers, or change pathways all together.

New this year, the Big Data Developer Program prepares students for entry-level careers in data engineering in 26 weeks. It’s designed to introduce the technically inclined student to the tech and methodologies that real world data engineers use and hiring companies need. Big Data Developer covers a wide range of technologies, including Python programming, Hadoop and cloud-based services in Amazon Web Services (AWS). Grads will be prepared for an entry-level position as a data engineer, Python programmer or business intelligence developer. The next session begins Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Launched last fall, the Front End Coding Boot Camp teaches all the skills students need to become a Front End Software Developer in just 18 weeks of part-time, online training. The Front End training comprises three courses: Introduction to JavaScript, Front End Technologies, and Web App Design with React. The next session begins October 5.

The Back End Coding Boot Camp is also an 18-week, part-time remote training. In it, students take three courses to prepare to enter the industry as a Back End Software Developer: Introduction to Java, Relational Databases with MySQL, and Web API Design with Spring Boot. The online classes meet once per week on Tuesday evenings. The next session begins November 2.

For more information on the Coding Boot Camps or Big Data Developer, contact CTE Computer Training Coordinator Kim Eckenrode at keckenrode@ccsnh.edu, or 603.578.8979.

On Campus

The Microelectronics Boot Camp offers instructor-led, hands-on training that prepares students for careers at local advanced manufacturing companies in just 10 weeks.

Students who successfully complete the Boot Camp are guaranteed an interview with the program’s founding partner, BAE Systems. Since its founding in 2016, the hiring rate for boot camp grads has remained at about 95 percent. The class begins Tuesday, October 12. For more information or to sign up, contact program coordinator Jon Mason at jmason@ccsnh.edu, or 603.717.1490.

Certificates

NCC certificates are another fast pathway to a new skillset. Certificates typically represent the core classes of a discipline, and are perfect for students looking to upskill quickly, or to complement an existing degree. Many classes can be taken remotely or on-campus, and the Data Analytics certificate is now 100 percent online. Explore certificate or associate degree pathways with the NCC Admissions Team at 603.578.8908 or nashua@ccsnh.edu. The 8-week fall term begins Monday, October 25.
